Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups split peas
  • 1 1/2 cups lean ham, diced
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 medium carrots, diced
  • 1 medium potato, diced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cups chicken broth, low fat, low sodium

How To Make split pea soup with ham

  • Step 1
    Saute onion in butter and oil until golden. Place onion and the rest of the ingredients in a slow cooker. Cover. Cook on medium for 8-10 hours. Serve with baguette rolls.
