- 2 1/2 cups split peas
- 1 1/2 cups lean ham, diced
- 1 tablespoon margarine
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 2 medium carrots, diced
- 1 medium potato, diced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 4 cups water
- 2 cups chicken broth, low fat, low sodium
How To Make split pea soup with ham

Step 1Saute onion in butter and oil until golden. Place onion and the rest of the ingredients in a slow cooker. Cover. Cook on medium for 8-10 hours. Serve with baguette rolls.
