This is my dish when I want Popeyes Dirty Rice and Fried Chicken with biscuits homegrown if you will. I got as close to making it like My mama's that I could hope you like it as much as we do.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 5 - cloves of garlic
- 1 medium onion, yellow
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
- 2 tablespoons diced jalapenos
- 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
- 1 1/2 cups rice, long grain
- 3 cups chicken broth, low salt
- 2 teaspoons pepper or pepper blend
- 1 cup sliced green onions
- - accent, your choice
- 1 pound spicy italian sausage, regular or turkey

Step 1Heat oil in large nonstick frying pan over medium heat. add aromatics, stir to blend. Keep stirring until veggies are soft and garlic is golden. Add ground beef or turkey and Italian sausage, breaking up with a spoon continue to cook about 10 minutes or until meat is nicely browned. add peppers and adjust seasonings.

Step 2Stir in rice a nd add broth and bring to a boil. Lower hear, cover and simmer 25-30 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed and rice is tender. Remover from heat, taste adjust seasonings, stir in green onions and serve hot.
