Ingredients
- 1 bunch red cabbage, cut in slices
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 small yellow onions
- 1 cup chopped pepper - green or any color
- 1 1/2 cups chicken bouillon
- 1 pound pork steaks
How To Make red cabbage delight
-
Step 1Bake pork steaks, or use left-over pork chops. Bake steaks on 400 degrees for about 45 minutes, turning half-way through. Put aside.
-
Step 2While pork steaks are baking, cut cabbage into slices and put aside. Melt butter, and add mushrooms, peppers, and onions (diced), cooking them until they turn soft.
-
Step 3Add cabbage, salt, cajun seasoning, and worcestershire sauce. Stir until cabbage becomes soft. Add chicken bouillon a little at a time (1/4 cup), mixing as you go. As the cabbage softens, you may want to add more chicken bouillon or not.
-
Step 4Once you have the cabbage softened, cut your pork steak into bite-sized pieces and mix in to the cabbage mixture. Or serve the pork steaks separate and use the cabbage as a side-dish.
