pork loin chops in a creamy basil sauce

I actually made this sauce for a chicken recipe, then found i didn't have any chicvken on hand, just pork chops. This sauce semms to go better w/ the chops, so it all worked out fine. Using fresh basil is definately better, but freeze-dried will do in a pinch!

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons olive or canola oil
  • 4 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 - pork loin chops, 1/2"-thick
  • 1/2 cup light cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped, or 2 tsp freeze-dried basil

How To Make pork loin chops in a creamy basil sauce

  • Step 1
    In lg skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add garlic, salt & pepper. Saute 2 mins. Add chops, saute for 10 min each side, or until no longer pink inside. Remove chops to a lg plate, keep warm. Whisk cream and basil into pan drippings. Cook on medium for 3 min, whisking often, until sauce starts to thicken. Pour sauce over chops and serve.
