Ingredients

  • 6 - pork chops, boneless
  • 3 cups rice, instant
  • 3 cups beef consomme
  • 1 - large onion
  • 1 - large tomato
  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons thyme, dried

How To Make pork chop casserole

  • Step 1
    Put olive oil in frying pan and heat until hot , salt and pepper pork chops with salt and pepper. Place pork chops in the hot oil , just to brown.
  • Step 2
    While chops are browning , place rice in the bottom of a 13x9x2 baking pan.Pour beef consomme over rice, Place browned pork chops on top add 1 slice onion and 1 slice tomato to top of each pork chop. Sprinkle top of casserole lightly with dried thyme.
  • Step 3
    Bake in an 350 degree oven for 1 hour . remove from oven and serve.
