Ingredients For pork &beans to can

  • 8 lb
    navy beans washed & sorted
  • 5 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    canning salt
  • 2
    onions(chopped fine)
  • 2 c
    celery diced
  • 5 qt
    tomatoe juice
  • 28 oz
    ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp
    dry mustard
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp
    chili power
  • 1 tsp
    pepper
  • 2 lb
    ham or meat of your choice,diced

How To Make pork &beans to can

    In a very large pot cover beans with water soak overnight.Next morning check water to cover beans cook untill nearly done still abit firm to touch.Drain: combine with all your other ingredients and mix well.

    Simmer low heat until all is warm turn heat off ladle into hot quart jars.Removing air bubbles with plastic knife wipe rim of jar.Pressure canner at 10 lbs for 30 mins.Makes 15-17 qts.
