How to Make Loin Pork Chops with onion Sauce
- In a paper bag or plastic bag, combine the flour, salt, pepper, and oregano. Add chops and shake until they are evenly coated with the seasoned flour.
- To a large frying pan, over medium heat, add the olive oil and evenly brown the chops. Transfer them to a cassrole dish that will hold them snugly in a single layer.
- Add the onions and garlic to the frying pan the pork browned in, adding more oil if necessary, and cook until the onions are soft. ( DO NOT BROWN ) Add the broth and cook stirring, scraping up the browned-on bits from the botton of the pan. Simmer , stirring, until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened. Taste for seasoning.
- Pour the onion sauce over the chops, cover, and cook in a preheated 350 degrees oven for 45 minutes or until the chops are fork-tender.
