This is a simple, filling, tasty delicious nourishing dish. It's slightly different than the same old pork chops, it's a nice change.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon freshly gound black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 4 - pork loin chops 1 inch thick
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 - mediun size white onions chopped
  • 2 - garlic cloves minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth,

How To Make loin pork chops with onion sauce

  • Step 1
    In a paper bag or plastic bag, combine the flour, salt, pepper, and oregano. Add chops and shake until they are evenly coated with the seasoned flour.
  • Step 2
    To a large frying pan, over medium heat, add the olive oil and evenly brown the chops. Transfer them to a cassrole dish that will hold them snugly in a single layer.
  • Step 3
    Add the onions and garlic to the frying pan the pork browned in, adding more oil if necessary, and cook until the onions are soft. ( DO NOT BROWN ) Add the broth and cook stirring, scraping up the browned-on bits from the botton of the pan. Simmer , stirring, until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened. Taste for seasoning.
  • Step 4
    Pour the onion sauce over the chops, cover, and cook in a preheated 350 degrees oven for 45 minutes or until the chops are fork-tender.
