    rotel diced tomatoes with chiles

    spaghetti sauce
  • 1
    onion chopped
  • 1 pkg
    sliced mushrooms
  • 2 clove
    minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 pkg
    hersheys chocolate bar
  • 1/2
  • 1
    red pepper, chopped
  • pinch
    salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    italian seasoning
  • 1/2 c

    sour cream
  • ·
    grated cheddar cheese
  • ·
    chopped green onion

  • ·
    frito scoop chips
  • ·
    sliced french bread

How to Make Islandjenn's NO-Tootin Chili


  1. Brown meat in a large pot. Add onions and garlic and cook until meat is done.
  2. Add mushrooms, red pepper, and can of rotel tomatoes, continue to cook about 5 minutes.
  3. Add spaghetti sauce and beer (optional).
  4. Drain can of kidney beans and add to pot. Add all of baked beans and stir gently.
  5. Add all seasoning (italian seasoning, garlic powder and chili powder). Stir gently.
  6. Clean a russet potatoe and cut in half. Place potatoe in bottom of pan. The potatoe acts like a sponge, soaking up the stuff from beans that gives you the "toots".
  7. Simmer on low heat for 1-2hrs, OR transfer into slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6hrs.
  8. About 20 minutes before serving REMOVE POTATOE from pot. Add hersheys chocolate bar and stir gently until melted.
  9. Top bowl of chili with teaspoon of sour cream, grated cheddar cheese and chopped green onions. Serve with Frito Scoop chips or sliced french bread.
