Ingredients
- 1 - medium apple or pear
- 4 - whole wheat or plain english muffins, split
- 2 tablespoons dijon-style mustard
- 4 slices canadian-style bacon
- 4 slices swiss cheese
- - apple chunks (optional)
How To Make hot apple and cheese sandwiches

Step 1Core apple and thinly slice crosswise to form rings. spread cut sides of English muffin halves with mustard.

Step 2Top 4 of the muffin halves with a slice of canadian bacon, 1 or 2 apple rings, and a slice of cheese. Top with remaining muffin halves, cut sides down.

Step 3Heat a large nonstick skillet or griddle. Place sandwiches in skillet or griddle. Cook over medium-low heat for 9-10 minutes or until sandwiches are golden brown and cheese starts to melt, turning once halfway through cooking. If desired, garnish sandwiches with apple chunks.
