Ingredients
- 2 cups freshly sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup thinly sliced carrots
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 clove garlic,minced
- 12 ounces bulk pork sausage
- 1 can cream style corn
- 10 ounces spinach, frozen,thawed and squeezed dry
- 1-1/2 cup barley,cooked
- 3 - green onions,chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried savory
- 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
How To Make hearty barley bake

Step 1In a large skillet, saute the mushrooms, carrots and onion in oil until tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Transfer to a large bowl.

Step 2In same skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add to mushroom mixture. Stir in the barley, corn, spinach, onions, savory, thyme, marjoram.

Step 3Transfer to a greased shallow baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, 5 min longer or until cheese is melted
