Ingredients For ham & vegetable primavera

  • 16 oz. pkg
    mini penne
  • 1 lb
    fresh asparagus, trimmed & cut into 1" pieces
  • 2 md
    carrots, cut into 1/4" slices
  • 1/2 c
    butter, cubed
  • 1/2 lb
    fresh mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 2 md
    zucchini, halved & cout into 1/4" slices
  • 2 c
    ham, fully cooked & cubed
  • 10 oz. pkg
    frozen peas, thawed
  • 8
    green onions, chopped
  • 3 tsp
    dried basil
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    white pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 11/2 c
    heavy whipping cream
  • 1 c
    grated parmesan cheese, divided

How To Make ham & vegetable primavera

  • 1
    Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, melt butter in a large skillet. Saute asparagus & carrots for 3 minutes. Add mushrooms & zucchini; saute until crisp-tender. Stir in ham,peas,onions,basil, salt, pepper & nutmeg. Add cream. Bring to a boil; cook & stir for 2 minutes. Drain pasta, place in a large bowl. Add veggies & 1/2 cup chesse; toss to combine. Serve with remaining cheese.
