Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground pork
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
- 2 cups red or green (or a mix) bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 large carrots, peeled and diced
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 cups beef broth
- - salt and pepper, to taste
How To Make ginning guisado (pork picadillo)

Step 1Marinate the ground meat in soy sauce and lemon juice, set aside for 30 -60 minutes.

Step 2Heat oil in large skillet and saute garlic, onion and 2/3 of the bell peppers, until onion starts to soften.

Step 3Add the meat and cook about 6- 10 minutes. Add the potatoes and carrots, and cook for another 5 minutes.

Step 4Mix in the tomato sauce and beef broth. Let simmer for 12 - 15 minutes. Add a cup of water if it's drying out before the potatoes and carrots are cooked.

Step 5Mix in the remaining 1/3 bell peppers and season with salt and pepper. Heat through and serve over rice.
