Ingredients
- 1 pound pork tenderloin
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 - yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (or more, to taste)
How To Make filipino bistek (pork tenderloin)

Step 1Slice pork tenderloin very thinly.

Step 2Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat and cook garlic until lightly browned. Add onion and just starting to brown.

Step 3Add sliced pork and stir to separate slices. When meat starts to brown, add soy sauce. Continue to stir about 2 minutes. Add sugar if using (adds a nice sweetness to dish).

Step 4When meat is cooked add lemon juice.

Step 5Serve over steamed white rice.
