This is a fun meal to make with the kids and makes a great breakfast or dinner.

  • 1 1/4 lb
    ground meat, i like to use breakfast sausage
  • 1/2 c
    bread crumbs
  • 4 Tbsp
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 4
    mashed potatoes
  • 8
  • 7 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Egg Nests


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix meat, bread crumbs, cheese, mashed potatoes, salt and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Make nests by forming 8 balls out of meat. Flatten and make a depression in center.
  4. Place in buttered ovenproof dish and cook for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven, crack egg in nest, sprinkle with salt, return to oven for 12 minutes.
