Years ago my friend would make a cranberry pork roast out of pork butt. WAY too many ingredients for me to remember! So I made this one up. My family devoured it!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 pounds pork loin roast (i use the small one from costco)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 - orange rind, grated
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 cup cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1 can cranberry sauce

How To Make cranberry pork loin roast

  • Step 1
    Heat vegetable oil in a chef's pan
  • Step 2
    Add pork roast. While browning, add the garlic, onion powder, pumpkin pie spice and orange rind.
  • Step 3
    After one side is browned (about 5 minutes), turn over and add onion.
  • Step 4
    When both sides are brown, put in slow cooker and add cranberry juice and cranberry sauce. Cook 4 hours on High or 8 hours on Low.
  • Step 5
    After it's cooked, save the juice to make cranberry gravy.
