Ingredients

  • MEATS
  • 3-5 pounds pork roast
  • PRODUCE
  • 1 medium onion
  • 4-6 stalks celery
  • 4-6 medium carrots
  • 1 & 1/2 cups mushrooms
  • 4-6 medium potatoes
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • SEASONINGS, SAUCES, OILS
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 1 &1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons thyme
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary, dried
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce

How To Make comforting pot roast

  • Step 1
    Start by putting your slow cooker/crock pot on high setting (or slow if you wish for it to cook for a longer amount of time) and add the olive oil to pot.
  • Step 2
    Place pork roast in pot.
  • Step 3
    Wash all veggies. Cut celery, carrots, potatoes, onions and mushrooms into bite size pieces (or smaller/larger if you wish)
  • Step 4
    Add garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary, onion soup mix and worcestershire sauce over meat.
  • Step 5
    Add all cut up veggies over the meat and seasonings.
  • Step 6
    Pour beef broth over top of everything in pot.
  • Step 7
    Place lid on pot and cook for at least 5 hours on high.
