Ingredients

  • MEATS

  • 3-5 lb
    pork roast
  • PRODUCE

  • 1 medium
    onion
  • 4-6 stalk(s)
    celery
  • 4-6 medium
    carrots
  • 1 & 1/2 c
    mushrooms
  • 4-6 medium
    potatoes
  • 2 tsp
    minced garlic
  • SEASONINGS, SAUCES, OILS

  • 1 pkg
    onion soup mix
  • 1 &1/2 c
    beef broth
  • 1 tsp
    olive oil
  • 1 tsp
    paprika
  • 2 tsp
    thyme
  • 1 tsp
    rosemary, dried
  • 2 tsp
    sea salt
  • 1 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce

How to Make Comforting Pot Roast

Step-by-Step

  1. Start by putting your slow cooker/crock pot on high setting (or slow if you wish for it to cook for a longer amount of time) and add the olive oil to pot.
  2. Place pork roast in pot.
  3. Wash all veggies. Cut celery, carrots, potatoes, onions and mushrooms into bite size pieces (or smaller/larger if you wish)
  4. Add garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary, onion soup mix and worcestershire sauce over meat.
  5. Add all cut up veggies over the meat and seasonings.
  6. Pour beef broth over top of everything in pot.
  7. Place lid on pot and cook for at least 5 hours on high.
