Ingredients

3/4 lb
cubed beef, i use sirloin
3/4 lb
cubed pork
1/2 c
water
1 large
diced onion
2
diced celery stalks
1 can(s)
bean sprouts, add liquid
1 can(s)
mushrooms, add liquid
1 can(s)
water chestnuts
1 can(s)
bamboo shoots
butter to brown meat
salt and pepper to taste
rice

Step-By-Step

1Brown meat in butter. Add remaining ingredients. Can be simmered on top of stove until meat is tender or in a 225 degree oven 2-3 hours. Either way check liquid and add more water, if necessary.
2Before serving, dissolve 2 Tablespoons corn starch in 1/4 cup water then stir in 1/4 cup soy sauce. Cook until liquid thickens, stirring often.
3Serve over rice.
