Ingredients
- 3/4 pound cubed beef, i use sirloin
- 3/4 pound cubed pork
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 large diced onion
- 2 - diced celery stalks
- 1 can bean sprouts, add liquid
- 1 can mushrooms, add liquid
- 1 can water chestnuts
- 1 can bamboo shoots
- - butter to brown meat
- - salt and pepper to taste
- - rice
How To Make chop suey

Step 1Brown meat in butter. Add remaining ingredients. Can be simmered on top of stove until meat is tender or in a 225 degree oven 2-3 hours. Either way check liquid and add more water, if necessary.

Step 2Before serving, dissolve 2 Tablespoons corn starch in 1/4 cup water then stir in 1/4 cup soy sauce. Cook until liquid thickens, stirring often.

Step 3Serve over rice.
