  • 5 pounds pre-cooked smoked ham
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, such as demerara
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup stone ground mustard
  • 2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard

How To Make brown sugar mustard glazed ham

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 400ºF and place ham in a pan lined with aluminum paper.
  • Step 2
In a bowl, combine brown sugar, ground cloves, ground mustard and yellow prepared mustard. Stir well and pour mixture over ham.
  • Step 3
Transfer in preheated oven and cook for 1 ½ hours or 2 hours at 325ºF; internal temperature reaches 160ºF. Let rest ham for 20 minutes before slicing.
  • Step 4
Note: Can be made in a slow cooker on low for 5 hours. The last hour, start basting. Add also some ground cloves for a more traditional flavor. Use oven cooking bag for an easy clean up and mix all together. Turn whole sealed bag every 15-20 minutes; no need to baste.
