My family loves Bratwurst and potluck potato casserole during summer picnics and get togethers. I combined two family favorites into this hearty rib sticking cold weather casserole.

o'brien hash brown potatoes, frozen
1/2 c
butter, melted
1 can(s)
condensed cheese soup
1/2 c
onion, chopped
8 oz
sour cream
2 c
sharp cheddar cheese, grated
2 clove
garlic, minced
1/2 tsp
1/4 tsp
black pepper
1/8 tsp
celery seed, ground
sleeves ritz crackers, crushed with 1/4 cup melted butter

How to Make It's Brat to Me Casserole


  • 1Remove bratwurst from casing and brown draining fat.
  • 2Preheat oven to 350 degrees with oven rack placed in the center of the oven.
  • 3Defrost potatoes. Combine in large mixing bowl with 1/2 cup melted butter, and seasoning.Add onion, soup, sour cream, cheese, garlic & spices and bratwurst. Blend thoroughly. Pour into buttered casserole. Cover with crumbs. Bake 45 minutes.
