Asian Spaghetti and Meatballs

Amy Cooper

This was an accidental recipe. I was trying to make pork wontons, and my wonton wrappers broke. So, to avoid take-out, I searched the pantry and came up with this recipe. Enjoy!

1 lb
ground pork
1 1/3 Tbsp
asian seasoning blend (eg. pampered chef asian seasoning mix)
1 tsp
ground ginger
1 tsp
garlic powder
1 c
soy sauce, low sodium
1/2 c
1/2 tsp
sesame seeds
1/2 c
edamame, steamed and cooled
1/2 lb
spaghetti, or other thin pasta

1Mix together pork, ginger, garlic, and one tablespoon of asian seasoning mix. Roll into one inch meatballs. Add to skillet and cook over medium-high heat until pork is 3/4 cooked through.
2Add soy sauce, water, and remaining asian seasoning to skillet. Toss with meatballs and continue cooking until pork is cooked through. Reduce heat and let simmer.
3Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and return to hot pot until water evaporates completely. Spoon meatballs over pasta, pour sauce over top. Toss to coat over low heat; toss in sesame seeds.
4When serving, toss cooled edamame into individual servings.
