Another delicious Keto recipe using my mini waffle iron ( Dash). So worth the investment. Less than $20 for 2 at Target. I have been experimenting with these cute little waffle irons and decided to try my hand at a pizza. Boy, am I glad I did! The cheese crisps up on the outside of waffle and just the right amount of saltiness. The sauce is delicious and beats any store bought, sugar filled pizza sauces. I have enough left for several more of these yummy treats. My whole family enjoys them too. Hope you try them and enjoy as much as we do.

Ingredients

  • 1 xl egg
  • 1 cup divided , fresh shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon almond flour
  • Pinch italian seasoning and pepperoni
  • SUGAR FREE PIZZA SAUCE - MAKES ENOUGH TO FREEZE FOR OTHER PIZZA - OR USE YOUR FAV STORE BOUGHTT
  • 1 - 28 ounces can - peeled marzano tomatoes undrained
  • 1 tsp each - garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, sea salt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons each - basil, oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon chunky garlic paste that comes in a tube in produce aisle
  • 1 packet truvia

How To Make ~ ketolicious pizza ~

  • Sugar free pizza sauce
    Step 1
    If you don’t own a dash waffle iron, you need to invest in one or two. 9.99 at Target. For sauce: In a food processor or I use my Ninja, add tomatoes and all other ingredients. Blend until smooth. Pour into a med sauce pan and heat until warmed through. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    In a small bowl, using a fork mix together the egg, 1/2 the cheese, almond flour and seasoning until well blended.
  • Dash mini waffle iron
    Step 3
    Heat waffle iron, spray with non stick spray. I use avocado, coconut or olive oil spray. Once hot which only takes a minute. Add a few sprinkles of cheese, this makes for crispy crust. Pour half egg mixture into waffle iron. Close lid and cook about 4 minutes or until desired crispness. I have two irons, so now is when i would repeat and do two at a time as each recipe makes two crusts.
  • Step 4
    Once finished turn on broiler in oven. Lay waffles on a sheet pan and add about 1 1/2 tbsp sauce to each cheese waffle. Spread evenly. Add remaining cheese to each cheese waffle. 3 pepperoni or whatever other topping you’d like.
  • Step 5
    Now place pan in oven and broil until bubbly and browning.
