individual naan bread pizzas

Have all ingredients ready and set out and let each person "design" their own. Yield: 1 Naan per person. Serve with tossed green salad and cold beer. I made these with pizza sauce, but pesto could also be used.

Ingredients

  • 4 large store-bought naan breads
  • 2 cups pizza sauce (canned, or homemade-or also used pesto)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella (or italian blend)
  • - sliced mushrooms, peppers, onions, tomato, fresh basil, etc.
  • - cooked sausage, pepperoni, smoked oysters, canadian bacon, etc.

How To Make individual naan bread pizzas

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400F.
  • Step 2
    Spread 1/2 cup sauce (or use pesto) on each naan.
  • Step 3
    Place desired cheese on top and arrange toppings of your choice on top of cheese.
  • Step 4
    Add a bit more cheese on top of toppings.
  • Step 5
    Place naans on baking sheet or pizza pan or stone and bake 10-12 minutes, or until hot and bubbly -
  • Step 6
    Serve whole or cut into thirds.
