How To Make ftira - my way!
-
Step 1For the dough, combine all dry ingredients (including yeast) in a bowl and mix well. Mix together the olive oil and warm water. Add slowly to the dry ingredients until the mixture comes together as a dough.
-
Step 2Place in a bowl and allow to rise in a warm place for 3 hours. Once the dough has risen for 3 hours, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. When ready to use, separate the dough into 4 pieces and roll the dough out. Place the dough on a sprinkling of corn meal or semolina flour.
-
Step 3Add a little olive oil to the top of the ftira and then add your toppings. Sprinkle a little olive oil on top of the finished product and bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
