spicy sausage pasta
I use Butterball Turkey smoked sausage, and to save time, you could use frozen onions. The turkey sausage is delicious. I got this recipe off the internet, and added a few touches of my own.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound smoked sausage
- 1 1/2 cups chopped onion
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 can ro-tel tomatoes and green chiles, mild
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces penne pasta
- - salt and pepper
- 1 cup monterey jack cheese, shredded
- 1/3 cup thinly chopped scallions
How To Make spicy sausage pasta

Step 1Add olive oil to oven-safe skillet over medium high heat until just smoking. Add sausage and onions and cook until lightly browned, about 4 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds

Step 2Add broth, tomatoes, cream, pasta, salt and pepper to taste and stir. Bring to a boil, cover skillet, and reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer until pasta is tender, about 15 minutes.

Step 3Remove skillet from heat and stir in 1/2 cup cheese. toop with remaining cheese and sprinkle with scallions. Broil until cheese is melted, spotty brown, and bubbly
