This spicy sauce has a lot more kick than the average pasta sauce. i like to use veggie fettuccine for extra nutrients. It reheats fantastically and is a great way to use canned salmon instead of the same old croquettes.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz
    fettuccine
  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 c
    diced red onion
  • 3/4 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1 can(s)
    salmon (7.5-8 oz) drained
  • 1 Tbsp
    finely chopped fresh dill
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    italian seasoning
  • 1 lb
    roma tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    white wine
  • to taste
    salt
  • to taste
    pepper
  • 4 Tbsp
    chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 c
    grated parmesan cheese

How to Make Spicy Salmon Pasta

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
    Drain, toss with 1 tablespoon olive oil.
    Keep warm.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in large pan or wok over medium heat.
    Add onions.
    Cook, stirring until softened.
  3. Add red pepper, Italian seasoning, and drained salmon. Break up salmon. Stir in dill, tomatoes and wine and bring to a boil. Turn heat to low, simmer for 10 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  4. Mound pasta on plates, top with salmon pasta sauce. Garnish with parsley and cheese.
