Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    spaghetti, whole-wheat
  • 6 slice
    bacon
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2 large
    egg
  • 2 large
    egg white
  • 2/3 c
    parmesan, grated
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • ½ tsp
    black pepper, freshly ground

How to Make SPAGHETTI CARBONARA

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook spaghetti using package directions. Drain and keep warm.
  2. Cut bacon slices into 1 inch pieces. Cook in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp.
  3. Add garlic and cook stirring continuously, until fragrant, 30 seconds.
  4. Whisk egg and egg white in small bowl.
  5. Add spaghetti to skillet; toss to combine.
  6. Remove skillet from heat. Immediately add eggs, Parmesan, salt and pepper; toss to coat. Serve at once.
