This is a "kid friendly" recipe enjoyed many nights by the grandchildren. Simple but good.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter or margerine
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt, (lawry's)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 - 16oz. cans stewed tomatoes, italian-style

How To Make skillet macaroni and cheese

  • Step 1
    Melt butter or margerine in a large skillet. Add beef, seasonings and onion. Saute until the the meat is browned. Add tomatoes.
  • Step 2
    Bring to a boil. Add macaroni. Cover and cook over low heat for about 10 minutes (or until the macaroni is tender.) Stir occasionally. Stir in parmesean and cheddar cheese.
  • Step 3
    Cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Enjoy !
