Ingredients
- 3/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp butter, divided
- 4 cups heavy cream
- 8 ounces shredded American grana cheese
- 2 pounds linguine
- 2 pounds shrimp
- salt and pepper, to taste
- parsley, to garnish
How To Make shrimp alfredo

Step 1Melt 1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Slowly whisk in the heavy cream and bring to a boil. Stir in the cheese and continue to cook until cheese is melted and sauce has thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 2Cook the linguine in salted boiling water until al dente about 10 minutes. Drain.

Step 3Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Add the remaining 1/4 cup butter to a skillet. Cook the shrimp until pink and cooked through, about 3 to 4 minutes.

Step 4Stir the linguine into the Alfredo sauce. Plate the linguine, top with shrimp, and garnish with parsley.
