quick and easy farmhouse sauce

Updated on Aug 17, 2011

I have been making this recipe since my kids were very young. I wanted a quick recipe that would "mask added in veggies" for the kids, and also be economical to make. You can mix and match the spices or vegetables, and still have an amazing sauce!! I don't know about you guys, but my fridge alway's has an abundance of carrots. So my *secret* is to julienne carrots and add to the sauce (just use a julienne slicer). I leave the julienned carrots long and as they soften, they "mold into the spaghetti", so the kids never knew, lol. I hope your family enjoy's this sauce as much as mine does! Enjoy!
