A creamy pumpkin pasta sauce that goes great over a variety of different pastas. I ate mine with sweet potato gnocchi and loved it!

  • 1/2 can(s)
    pure pumpkin puree
  • 3/4 can(s)
    chicken stock
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1/2
    large onion, chopped
  • 2 clove
    garlic, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c
    zucchini, chopped
  • 15
    basil leaves, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    dried rosemary, or use fresh
  • 1 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    garam masala
  • 1 tsp
  • 4 Tbsp
    half & half
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • ·
    pasta of choice

How to Make Pumpkin pasta sauce


  1. In a large skillet, saute onion, garlic, and zucchini in olive oil. Let cook for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add in pumpkin puree and chicken stock. Cook for several minutes, until the stock and puree are well combined. The sauce should begin to slightly thicken.
  3. Add in your spices, rosemary, and basil and let simmer for 15 minutes
  4. Cook your choice of pasta on the side.
