I came up with this recipe looking for a way to use my canned pumpkin to create this spicy but savory sauce with a seasonal twist!

Ingredients For pumpkin pasta sauce

2 Tbspolive or grapeseed oil

3 Tbspminced garlic

1 mdonion
-
1 canpumpkin, canned or cooked

1 canminced clams with juice
-
1 1/2 tspsalt (or to taste)

1 1/2 tspshallot-pepper seasoning

1 tspdried sage

1 tspthyme, dried
-
1 dashcayenne pepper ( to taste)
How To Make pumpkin pasta sauce

1Add Oil to saucepan, and heat. Add onion and garlic and cook till tender.

2Add minced clams and juice to pot. Let simmer 5 minutes.

3Stir in pumpkin, spices and salt. Simmer for 10-15 minutes till liquid reduces slightly. For a smooth sauce, blend in a pot with hand blender until desired consistency is achieved.
