poor man's beans & rice
I pinched this straight out of a Campbell's soup ad in Good Housekeeping magazine. Why didn't I think of this? I have tried some of the other soup/rice combos, but this sounds great. Why should soup always be accompanied by either a salad or a sandwich? Photo by: SoupPlus.com

Ingredients
- 1 can (10.5 oz.) campbell's bean with bacon soup
- 1 can water
- 1/2 cup uncooked rice
How To Make poor man's beans & rice

Step 1In a medium to large saucepan, heat Campbell's soup with one can of water to boiling.

Step 2Stir in the uncooked rice.

Step 3Reduce heat to low and cover. Cook about 20 minutes until rice is tender, stirring occasionally.

Step 4Serve with a green vegetable and some buttered crescent rolls.

Step 5May double recipe for more than two people.
