Ingredients

8 ozpenne pasta

1 Tbspolive oil

1/2 cthinly sliced red onion

2 Tbspdrained capers

1 tspminced garlic

1/4 tspsalt

1/8 tspcrushed red pepper flakes

1/4 cbeef broth
-
114.5 oz can diced tomatoes, w/ chilies

1 cmarinara sauce
-
1/2 cpitted kalamata olives
-
1/4 cshredded parmesan cheese.
How to Make pasta puttanesca
- Cook pasta as directed, drain. In lg skillet, heat oil over med-high heat. Add onion, capers, garlic, salt and peper flakes. Cook, stirring occasionally until onion is tender.
- Add broth, cook 1 min. Stir in tomatoes and their juices, marinara sauce and the olives. Cook until heated through.
- Toss pasta w/ sauce. Serve sprinkled w/ parmesan cheese
