Pasta Fagiola for Dummies
3 can(s)15.5 oz beans. 1 can each of dark red kidney, red, and great northern beans
2 can(s)chicken broth, 49.5 oz size
1 cpasta sauce
1 smallonion, chopped
4 clovegarlic, minced
1/2 cextra virgin olive oil
1/4 cparmesan cheese
1/4 tspeach, oregano, garlic powder, adobo seasoning
2 celbow pasta
How to Make Pasta Fagiola for Dummies
- In a 6-8 quart saucepan, add the olive oil and garlic. Saute over moderate heat until just golden. Add the onion and stir. Saute 3 minutes.
- Add the beans , pasta sauce, and seasonings. Mix well until heated through. Turn heat to high, add the chicken broth. When it boils, add the elbow macaroni. When it boils again, turn heat down to medium high. Cook until pasta is done, about 10 minutes.
- Add the parmesan cheese, stir and cook for another 5 minutes. Serve with Italian or Portuguese bread.
