My mother inlaw passed this recipe down to me many years ago. My family loves this and considers it comfort food. Enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef, i use sirloin
  • 2 cans mushroom (drain one) can use fresh see below
  • 1 package dry onion soup mix
  • 1 can condensed mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1/2 cup red wine, dry burgundy(optional)
  • 8 ounces sour cream, optional
  • - egg noodles or rice

How To Make no peek casserole

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients in oven proof dish or dutch oven. Cover tightly. Bake 3 hours at 300 degrees. Sour cream may be added before serving. Serve over noodles or rice.
  • Step 2
    Note: I have used fresh mushrooms and added 1/2 cup of water.
