mommy’s sneaky mac and cheese

My son loves this and it's a sneaky recipe as it has a little veg in it.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup macaroni uncooked (i used catelli smart as it has added fibre and is more healthy
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon baby food carrots
  • 1 tablespoon baby food sweet potato
  • 1/3 cup shredded cheese (i use a mix of tex mex, cajun and cheddar)
  • 2 - thin cheese slices
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon salt for pasta water

How To Make mommy’s sneaky mac and cheese

  • Step 1
    Boil Macaroni is salted water until it is still firm 5 and a half minutes
  • Step 2
    Preheat oven to 350
  • Step 3
    In a small dish mix together milk, baby foods and 1 and half tsp salt
  • Step 4
    Add small amount of shredded cheese to bottom of two one cup sized ramakins
  • Step 5
    Add one layer of cooked macaroni on top of cheese
  • Step 6
    sprinkle again with part of the shredded cheese and then tear up one cheese slice for each ramakin and layer on top.
  • Step 7
    Add another layer of cooked macaroni
  • Step 8
    Add milk and baby food mixture one spoonful at a time to each ramakin covering all the pasta.
  • Step 9
    Add final layer of shredded cheese.
  • Step 10
    Place on tray and into oven
  • Step 11
    Let cook for 15-20 minutes until golden on top.
