midwest country casserole
This recipe is a variation of Dairyland Country Casserole from Recipelion.com. I made a few changes that suit me better, and I just know it's going to be so yummy! I will post a picture when I make it.

Ingredients
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped fine
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 8 ounces chive cream cheese
- 1 cup cottage cheese, small curd
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup monterey jack cheese
- 2 cups bread crumbs
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
How To Make midwest country casserole

Step 1Cook noodles as per package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Step 2In a large skillet, brown the beef; drain. Add tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, onion, garlic, and green pepper. Salt to taste. Simmer for about 10 minutes.

Step 3Combine the cream cheese, cottage cheese, and sour cream in a large bowl.

Step 4Butter or spray a large casserole dish (9x13). Pour in half of the noodles. Add the cheese and sour cream mixture and cover with remaining noodles. Top with beef mixture.

Step 5Top casserole with Monterey jack cheese. Combine bread crumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over cheese.

Step 6Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for about 40 minutes or until bubbly and bread crumbs are browned.
