lynn's sweet & savory goulash

I love all the varations on goulash, thought I'd submit mine too.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground chuck or leaner
  • 1 box shell noodles, cook per box directions
  • 1 can (4oz) tomato sauce, no salt added
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes, plain, no salt added
  • 1 can (15 oz) dice tomatoes w/oregano, basil and garlic no salt added
  • 2 sm cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup sweet onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 teaspoon ea. of granulated garlic, gran. onion, & black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons ea. of paprika & cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse sea salt, opt.
  • 1 teaspoon bold & spicy mustard
  • 1 teaspoon worchestshire sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

How To Make lynn's sweet & savory goulash

  • Step 1
    Cook pasta seperately while meat is cooking. Brown ground beef with fresh garlic, red bell, onion, 1 tsp.paprika, 1 tsp. cumin, black pepper & worchestshire till well browned. Add canned tomatoes & sauce, mustard, sugar, lemon juice & salt, 1 tsp. ea. of granulated garlic, gran. onion, paprika, & cumin. Cover & simmer for 1o min. Add drained pasta, mix well & serve. Top with cheese if desired.
