This is still a work in progress everytime I make it I do something different to make it better. And use all fresh ingredents.

ground beef (i prefer sirlion)
1/2 lb
pork sausage
1 medium
onion finely diced
3 clove
garlic finely minced
1 Tbsp
whole basil
1 1/2 tsp
1 16 oz can(s)
crushed tomatoes

tomato paste

lasagna noodles, cooked
1 1/2 c
riccotta cheese
1 1/2 c
cottage cheese
1/2 c
parmesan or ramano cheese
2 Tbsp
eggs, beaten
2 tsp
1/2 tsp
1 lb
mozzarella cheese

How to Make Lasagna


  • 1In a skillet with a little EVOO fry pepperoni, then place on papertowl to drain, in same skillet brown and crumble ground beef and sausage, with onion and garlic, spoon off excess grease.
  • 2to meat mixture add basil, tomatoes, tomato paste and 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt (or to you liking, simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.
  • 3In a large bowl combine ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, parsley, eggs, salt and pepper, mix well.
  • 4Place 1/2 the noodles in a 13x9 baking dish, spread 1/2 the cheese mixture over noodles, then 1/2 the meat mixture, place in a single layer 1/2 the pepperoni, then 1/2 the mozzarella, repeat layers.
  • 5Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes, let stand 10 minutes.
