Whoever is looking for a healthy alfredo, this is it. And it is very yummy!!!!! I found this in my local newspaper. Enjoy!!!!

uncooked fettuccine
2 Tbsp
all-purpose flour
1/2 c
fat-free milk
2 Tbsp
2/3 c
half and half
2 Tbsp
heavy cream
3/4 c
freshly grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp
1/4 tsp

How to Make Kathy's fettuccine alfredo


  • 1Cook fettuccine, Drain and place in lg. bowl
  • 2Put flour in saucepan, gradually add milk, whisking until smooth. Cook over low heat,stiring til thickened (about 5 min). Add butter, stir til melted, stir in half&half and heavy cream stir til well combined. Add grated cheese and stir until melted, removefrom heat and stir in salt and pepper.
  • 3Put the sauce in the bowl with the fettuccine, and toss until pasta is well coated. Serve immediately.
