Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground ground chuck
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 1 clove garlc , minced
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1 can ( 12 oz ) tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon instane beef bouillon granules
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 - ( 16 oz ) container cottage cheese
  • 1 package ( 8 oz ) shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 - egg beaten
  • 24 - jumbo pasta shells, cooked and drained

How To Make italian 3-cheese stuffed shells

  • Step 1
    Cook beef, onion and garlic in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring beef until crumbles and is no longer pink, drain. Stir in water, tomato paste, bouillon, and oregano, simmer over medium heat about 30 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Stir in the cottage cheese, and one cup mozzarella, Parmesan cheese and egg in a medium bowl, mix well. Stuff shells with cheese mixture, arrange in a greased 13x9" baking pan. Pour beef mixture over shells. cover and bake at 350 degrees fo 40 -45 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with remaning mozzarella cheese. Bake 5 minutes more until cheese melts.
