I make this bolognese sauce w/ ground turkey breast to make it healthier than its meatier version. And I use Ronzoni healthy harvest spaghetti for an extra healthy value. Serve w/ homemade garlic bread, YUM!

Ingredients For healthy spaghetti bolognese

1 Tbspolive oil

2 mdcarrots, chopped, about 1 cup

1onion, chopped

1 tspminced garlic

1 tspdried basil
-
3/4 tspsalt
-
1/4 tsppepper
-
1 lbground turkey breast
-
128 oz can whole peeled tomatoes
-
1/3 cwater
-
1/4 citalian-style tomato paste
-
8 ozronzoni healthy harvest spaghetti

1/4 cshredded parmesan cheese
-
fresh basil leaves for garnish
How To Make healthy spaghetti bolognese

1In lg skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add carrots, onion, garlic, dried basil, salt & pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally until carrots are tender.

2Add ground turkey to skillet. Cook, stirring until browned. Add tomatoes w/ their juices, water, tomato paste and another 1/3 cup water. Using a wooden spoon, break up tomatoes.

3Cover and cook over med-high heat. Bring to boil. Then reduce heat to medium. Simmer until sauce has thickened, about 20 mins. Cook pasta as directed, drain. Toss pasta w/ sauce. Sprinkle w/ parmesan cheese. Garnish w/ basil leaves.
