Ingredients For ghoulash

  • 1 lb
    hamburger
  • 1 sm
    onion (diced)
  • 1 can
    tomatoes, canned italian-style and diced
  • 3 Tbsp
    tomato paste
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1 1/2 to 2 c
    whole wheat penna pasta (don't over cook) will finish in sauce.
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 to 1 c
    of the pasta water
  • 3/4 c
    parmesan cheese

How To Make ghoulash

    In large sauce pan, brown hamburger, & onion, add salt, & pepper to taste. (drain).

    Add tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic powder, red pepper flakes.

    In another pot boil enough water for pasta. cook 7 to 9 minutes. add pasta to hamburger, & tomato sauce, add the pasta water. (if sauce is to thick add more pasta water). cover & simmer, add parmesan cheese on top. enjoy!
