Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chuck
  • 1 1/4 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 1 can (med.) chopped tomatoes, drained
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup sour cream

How To Make down 'n' dirty rice casserole

  • Step 1
    In a large skillet, brown the ground chuck over medium heat. Drain.
  • Step 2
    In a medium skillet, cook celery and onion in 1 Tbsp. butter for 5-10 minutes over medium-low heat, until almost tender, but not browned.
  • Step 3
    In a large casserole dish, mix all ingredients together except the cheese.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar over the top of the mixture and bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 25 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
