    lean beef chuck, cut into cubes
  • 3/4 c
    white wine, medium
  • 1/2 lb
  • 1/2 c
    cooking oil
  • 1/4 c
    tomato paste
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 3 clove
    garlic minced
  • 2 large
    onion diced
  • 6 sprig(s)
  • 3 c
  • 1
    bay leaf
  • 7 medium
    carrots cutup
  • ·
    salt and pepper, to taste..
  • ·
    hot cooked noodles

How to Make Bob's Daring Beer and Wine Stew..


  1. In a hot dutch oven cook bacon with oil till almost crisp. Put flour in a bag, add meat and shake to coat meat.. Remove bacon from oven with slotted spoon, cut up bacon and set a side..

    Brown beef chuck in bacon drippings on all sides..
  2. Now add garlic and onion cook 4-5 minutes.. Add beer, wine, bay leaf parsley, and thyme.. Partially cover and cook over med heat for 1 1/2 hours..
    Remove bay leaf and add carrots. You may need to add more beer, cook for about one hour more... Serve over cooked noodles..
