  • 2 Tbsp
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 c
    skim milk
  • 1 1/2 c
    (6 oz.) shredded reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3 Tbsp
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp
    low-sodium worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1/8 tsp
  • 1/8 tsp
    hot sauce
  • 4 c
    hot cooked medium elbow macaroni

How to Make Best Mac and Cheese


  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; add flour. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly with a wire whisk. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly.
  2. Bring to a boil; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add cheeses and next 4 ingredients, stirring until cheeses melt. Combine cheese sauce and macaroni in a bowl; stir well. Serve immediately.
