mac & cheese (mom's oldstyle)
The smell this cooking it reminds me of younger days. Coming home at supper time, you could smell this a couple houses away, and it always quickend my step. !!!! Spice it up, Hunt's now makes a jalapeno and Siracha flavored ketchups, Have tried both, liked both, but partial to the jalapeno, nice zing.

Ingredients
- 1 box elbow noodles
- 1 pound colby longhorn cheese
- THIS TYPE CHEESE IS USUALLY SOLD AS A HALF LOAF, OR HALF MOON
- 1 - small yellow onion
- 1- 8oz cans tomato sauce
- 6-8 ozs ounces ketchup

Step 1Gather toghether ingredients, Preheat oven to 400 Bring to boil enough water to cook 3/4 of the box of elbow noodles. Cook noodles to just done

Step 2While noodles are cooking, with a wire cheese cutter, slice cheese lenghtways about 1/8" to 3/16" Chop onion

Step 3Drain cooked noodles Par-boil onions, drain Place noodles back in cooled cooking pot, add onion tomatoe sauce, and about 6 to 8 ounces of ketchup Should be moist

Step 4In a 2 to 3 quart cassarole dish put 1/2 of the noodles and top with cheese slices (just to cover)

Step 5Add remaining noodles and top with remaining cheese slices. Should cover completly

Step 6Baked for 15 min, till golden brown and bubbly
