I love pasta and I always make my own pasta sauce. I start in the morning and let in cook for about 5 to 6 hours in the crock pot. I use this sauce for all kinds of pasta dishes I make!

1 lb
ground beef
1 large
onion, chopped
salt & pepper to taste
2 clove
garlic, chopped
2 Tbsp
olive oil

(28 ounce) can diced tomato (i use contadina)
1
(28 ounce) can tomato sauce (i use contadina)
1
(28 ounce) can tomato puree (i use contadina)
1 can(s)
(8 ounce) can tomato paste (i use contadina)
1 Tbsp
oregano
1 Tbsp
basil
1/2 c
shredded carrot
1/2 c
grated parmesan cheese
1/2 c
red wine

How to Make Angela's Meat Sauce

Step-by-Step

  • 1In large nonstick skillet, saute onion & garlic in olive oil on low heat about 5 minutes. Add ground beef, salt and pepper and cook on medium-high heat until ground beef is no longer pink.
  • 2Meanwhile, add the remaining 9 ingredients to slow cooker. Add ground beef mixture & pan drippings to crock pot and cook on 6 to 8 hour setting.
  • 3Serve with your favorite pasta dishes!
