Ingredients

  • 1 large yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 pound hamburger
  • 12 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

How To Make american chop suey

  • Step 1
    In a large pan, saute sliced onion in the vegetable oil for 5 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Add hamburger and cook until done.
  • Step 3
    Mix in the 2 cans of tomato soup and simmer for 5 minutes. Note: Do not add milk or water.
  • Step 4
    Add the cooked elbow macaroni and mix well.
