vegetarian island sandwich
(2 RATINGS)
This is a tastey and energy giving sandwich. I have enjoyed it on hot or cold days. The Feta cheese is the clincher for flavor. Enjoy!!

How To Make vegetarian island sandwich
-
Step 1Slice the bread the long way. Making sure to get the bread as even as possible. As you build the sandwich, this will make it easier to transfer to the oven, if you desire it hot.
-
Step 2On the bottom slice add: tomatos crushed (this has to be added first and then the rest in any order), sliced red onions, black olives, mushrooms, spinach leaves, and peppers to taste. Use as much as your taste buds tell you to use.
-
Step 3On the top add the Feta Cheese to taste.
-
Step 4Leave sandwich open when you place it in a 350 degree oven for about 5 minutes or until toasted. The Feta cheese will not melt. Becareful when you remove the sandwich as the crust does get hot. Add the top to the bottom and chow down.
-
Step 5This is a wonderfully warm and crunchy toasted sandwich if you like it warm. You could add other flavors to the mix like, olive oil, vinegar, or any other vegy that you like. Enjoy!!
